Our Kindergarten class is led by a full time certified teacher and a full time teaching assistant. The curriculum standards are in line with the National Common Core Standards. Our integrated approach to learning is rich in discovery and provides opportunities for the children to make connections in their learning.

●      Classes are Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-2:30PM

●      1:10 teacher to student ratio

●      School uniform is required

A Typical Day in Kindergarten

8:00    Arrival, Morning Duties, Morning Work

8:10    Morning Meeting: Pledge of Allegiance, prayer, calendar, poem/book of the week

8:45    Centers: small group reading, math practice, sight word practice, thematic activities

9:45    Recess and Snack

10:15  Science/ Social Studies

11:00  Math: whole group and small group instruction

11:45  Lunch: lunch may be brought from home or purchased at school

12:15  Story Time

12:30  Writing

1:00    Rest Time

1:30    Free Choice: Learning and developing the whole child through play

2:30    Dismissal: children are picked up at the traffic circle or at our

“Extended School Day”
