Our PK4 class is led by a full time teacher and full time teaching assistant. Our curriculum is all inclusive and is designed to develop all aspects of the child. Our classroom offers a balanced program that includes academic instruction, social interaction, physical activity and creative expression.

A Typical Day in PK4

8:00    Arrival

8:30    Morning Meeting: Pledge of Allegiance, prayer, calendar activities, weather

9:00    Whole Group Language Activity

9:15    Enrichment Class

10:00  Centers: Teacher and self-directed activities

Centers vary daily, but may include math and number sense activities, science activities, thematic activities, and letter and sight word practice

11:00  Whole Group Literacy Activity

11:10  Recess

11:40  Lunch: lunch may be brought from home or purchased at school

12:30  Rest Time

1:30    Free Choice: Learning and developing the whole child through play

2:10    Afternoon Meeting

2:30    Dismissal: children are picked up at the traffic circle or at our “Extended School Day”
