The second grade curriculum is delivered by a full time, certified teacher. The curriculum standards exceed the New Generation Sunshine State Standards and with the National Common Core Standards. Teachers meet individual needs through regular assessments and working with students individually, in small groups, and large groups.
General Information
● Classes are Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-2:30PM
● 1:15 teacher to student ratio
● The Accelerated Reader Program, Khan Academy and Sunshine Math
● Homework: 20-25 minutes per night in addition to 20 minutes required reading
● Weekly Spelling and Reading Tests
● Trimester Schedule: three report cards per year
